AUDREY BOSBOOM

Audrey specialises in personal injury.  She has a vast depth of knowledge, developed over 30 years of legal practice across the field of common law claims, coronial inquests, motor vehicle accidents and workers compensation.

Audrey was admitted to practice in December 1993. She worked in a general legal practice for two years before finding her niche in personal injury law, initially in workers compensation and then CTP insurance.

Audrey worked at Finlaysons Lawyers from 1999 to 2004, during which time she became a Senior Associate, specialising in motor vehicle accident claims. After working for Thomson Playford’s general insurance team, Audrey commenced employment as a Senior Solicitor with the Crown Solicitor’s Office in 2007. She has defended claims against various government agencies, particularly the Department of Health.

Audrey has appeared as counsel in the Coroner’s Court in relation to deaths in public hospitals, as well as the SA Employment Tribunal with respect to asbestos claims, often at short notice.

Since joining the bar in April 2019, Audrey has been engaged to act by both personal injury firms and insurance firms Australia-wide.

Audrey co-founded Nyland Chambers in 2021. She is currently recognised in Doyle’s Guide as a Pre-eminent Barrister in the field of Insurance and Personal Injury.

Audrey accepts briefs in all areas of personal injury including CTP claims, medical negligence, coronial inquests, workers compensation and dust disease cases.
